This is a data-gathering phase. We start by exploring your vision for the project, including character, aesthetics, and a list of spaces and their intended use. If your project is new, we visit the site to evaluate the landscape, views, solar analysis, access, utilities, and your vision for sitting the structure.

During this phase, you share images collected from magazines, books, Houzz, or Pinterest—we use your inspiration to generate ideas. Additionally, ADB Design Group may take you on built project tours to gauge your reaction to layout and design elements.

Interior design is a captivating form of visual poetry that conveys a wealth of information about our identities, preferences, and lifestyles. Through the careful selection of colours, textures, and furnishings, we can create environments that not only enhance our living spaces but also express our unique stories and values. At ADB Design Group, we create comprehensive and detailed drawings to showcase your proposed design. Our drawings include plans, elevations, and sections, as well as concepts for mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. We also provide options for exterior and interior finishes. With our 3D model feature, you can take a virtual "walk" through your future home to ensure that you are fully satisfied with the design before construction begins.

Once the design development is complete, we will create a set of drawings and specifications that you can use to gather preliminary construction pricing estimates from contractors. This is the perfect opportunity to assess the compatibility between your desires, needs, and budget.

During this phase, final decisions are made based on pricing, budget, and design evolution. ADB Group creates a set of architectural drawings that the contractor will use to determine actual construction costs, obtain permits, and build the project. There are various ways to select a contractor. You may already have a contractor or ADB Group can make recommendations and join the owner-architect team early in the design process. Alternatively, ADB Group can initiate a formal bidding process with multiple potential contractors, and we will assist you in evaluating the bids before the contractor is selected. This phase comes to an end once a permit is obtained and a contractor is hired.

Once your project is underway, ADB Design Group conducts regular site visits to ensure that the built structure aligns with the original design plan. We carefully evaluate all requests for payment from contractors, including any change orders, and keep you informed of construction progress throughout the process. Upon completion, we conduct a final project closeout with a punch list and meticulously review the contractor's final payment request.
